Compass Rose
Compass Rose Events asked McClain to rewrite and redesign the company's printed collateral pieces used for corporate sales. The series of brochures are designed for clients at every stage of event planning process - from the NRP brochure introducing CRE to a prospective client, to the ESG which provides in-depth detail as clients are making decisions to the Planning Guide as the check-list for the final stages of planning.
Thos Moser
Thom. Moser, a well-known manufacturer and retailer of high-end furniture, turned to McClain to create a new catalog that not only showcased its fine furniture but also defined what sets them apart from other upscale furniture companies. With its high - level design, use of fine art photographs and compelling messaging, the catalog complemented Moser’s “white glove” service and appealed to high-end consumers, raising interest in Moser’s new products.
LL. Bean
McClain worked with L.L.Bean for nearly a decade developing their brand, creating memorable and relevant messages, and promoting key attributes to attract their defined core audience. McClain introduced the concept of coupling environment photography with L.L.Bean product to showcase the functionality of its brand. The effectiveness of fully integrated marketing programs has yielded significant results for the outdoor company.
Timberland
Working with direct marketing firm G.G. Direct and Timberland’s internal marketing team, McClain developed the creative strategy and designed a direct marketing piece to launch Timberland’s new line of footwear with PreciseFit technology. Appealing to young men, the collateral needed to blend compelling product photography with pertinent product information to educate the consumer on the benefits of customized-fit footwear.
Berwick Academy
Berwick Academy, a private school located in South Berwick, Maine serving grades K through 12, looked to McClain to develop a suite of new recruitment materials including a viewbook, brochures, direct marketing pieces and electronic communication material. McClain developed collateral pieces to reach current and potential students by showcasing the school’s capabilities. With its engaging design and branded messages, the pieces captured the attention of prospective families by creating brand awareness as well as application interest.
Xybix Systems
Xybix Systems, a leading manufacturer of ergonomic furniture systems, has outfitted medical groups and 911 dispatches nationwide. With its large client base and room for growth, Xybix looked to McClain to reach current and potential medical clients with a direct mail piece that showcased the company's products and capabilities. With its large-format design and well-crafted message, the piece captured the attention of many medical groups and individuals creating brand awareness as well as invigorating sales.
Androscoggin Bank
As agency of record for Androscoggin Bank, McClain designed and developed numerous collateral pieces for the bank. When the Trust and Investment Department was ready to update its messaging, McClain worked with the department team to develop a new brochure that outlined the bank’s services, described benefits offered to customers and enhanced the public’s knowledge of specific trust and financial products. Appealing to prospective customers, the piece helped to differentiate Androscoggin from competing financial institutions.
Carrabassett Valley Academy
As agency of record for CVA, the academy asked McClain to develop a creative strategy that would reach a diverse group of young, driven high school students with special interest in three major disciplines of winter sports: down hill skiing, freestyle skiing and snowboarding. McClain approached this project by segmenting the messaging to speak directly to these different specialties in language highlighting CVA's programs and addressing specific aspects of each discipline. As a result of this targeted approach, CVA enjoyed an increase in enrollment for each of their Winter Camp programs.
